The History...
In 2007 a group of friends and family of Sid "Sonny" Groves got together to remember this man who made such an impact on their lives and the lives of others. As they shared memories, an idea was born to give back to the community as a way to honor his legacy. As he dealt with his cancer diagnosis and the subsequent treatments and procedures required, Sid became a regular fixture at HOPE, Inc. and touched the staff there just as he did everyone he came into contract with. It seemed a natural fit to bring them on board.

The Event...
It was decided that a party was the best way to memorialize a man who said often, "Fellers, there's nothing better than good friends, good food and good music - it doesn't get any better than this" Please join the Friends of Sid as we plan our second annual event to celebrate Sid's life and legacy and the important work that HOPE, Inc does in Northwest Arkansas for cancer patients and their families at the Sid Groves Memorial Benefit for HOPE, Inc., www.hopenwa.org each December 31st.

Our First Event 2007 Fund Raising Event...
The first event was held at the Magnolia Inn in Springdale, AR on May 26, 2007. With a lot of Sid's friends the event raised over $4,900.00 for HOPE, Inc. The event had all of Sid's favorites starting with all of his friends and family celebrating his life, sharing stories and live music, topped with a pot luck dinner. Our second event was the 2007 Sid Groves New Years Eve Celebration for HOPE, Inc.
